The City of Valkeakoski wanted to update its visual material with fresh, spring-themed images that reflect the city’s pleasant atmosphere, nature and everyday warmth. I carried out the shoot as a complete production, combining careful planning, the right choice of locations and an authentic atmosphere.
A family was arranged as models for the shoot to bring warmth and relatability to the images. Through them, we were able to tell the story of Valkeakoski as a place where nature and everyday life meet naturally — especially on nature trails and outdoor areas close to the city centre. The aim was to highlight easy accessibility, a sense of community and the closeness of nature as part of residents’ everyday lives.
The spring timing brought freshness, light and the feeling of nature coming to life into the images, supporting the city’s communications across different channels. The project was complemented with aerial photography, which provided a striking and broader perspective of the city structure, waterways and surrounding nature.
The result was a versatile, high-quality photo bank that the City of Valkeakoski can use in marketing, communications and brand building for years to come.
